Thank you so much for reaching out about Delegate Wolek’s Legislative Scholarship. Delegate Wolek is extremely excited to support the academic goals of District 16 residents. To be eligible for Delegate Wolek’s Legislative Scholarship, you must:
- live in the 16th Legislative District. You may confirm that your permanent residence is in District 16 at http://mdelect.net/
- attend or have been accepted by a Maryland college or university, graduate school, or private career (or vocational) school either full or part-time.
- OR attend or have been accepted by an out-of-state school and have been approved for a “unique major” not offered by ANY other Maryland institution as determined by MHEC by completing this application. (Allow 8 weeks.)
- have completed the FAFSA by March 1.
- show demonstrated financial need.
In order to be considered for the legislative scholarship, you must meet the qualifications and complete the online application by June 1.
We anticipate that the scholarships will be awarded at the end of June. Recipients will be notified by email and will need to have set up an MDCAPs account to accept the scholarship in order to receive the funds.
